Spring Awakening

Do you know that feeling? The light begins to change, the birds are singing, and everywhere the first little splashes of colour and buds appear. And suddenly there’s no holding back anymore. It draws you outside as if by magic, and after a long winter you finally reconnect with nature.

The first signs of spring mark the beginning of the new gardening year. I start cutting back the old perennial stems, removing some leaves here and there, spreading compost, and bringing everything back into shape. It feels wonderful to dig in the soil again and let the warm sun shine on your face.

Between the garden beds I watch bees, butterflies, and cheeky blackbirds. Everything is full of joyful anticipation. I love this moment - the awakening of spring.
